Wholesale Ashwagandha Price Per Kg

Ashwagandha is a mandi commodity, not a fixed-catalogue product — per-kg rates move with every Neemuch Krishi Upaj Mandi auction. Here's what actually drives the price, and how to get an accurate quote.

Quick answer

Ashwagandha wholesale price is set by the current Neemuch Mandi auction rate, then adjusted for grade (Gatta, Special, No. 1, Tukdi, Tar, Powder), order volume and packaging. Because the base commodity rate can move week to week during harvest season, we don't publish a fixed price list — request a quote and we'll confirm today's rate for your grade and volume within one business day.

Why Ashwagandha price isn't fixed

Ashwagandha root is bought and sold through Neemuch Krishi Upaj Mandi's Produce Marketing Committee (PMC) auctions — the same transparent, open-auction system used for any agricultural commodity. That means the base per-kg rate reflects that day's supply and demand at the mandi, which shifts through the January–April harvest window and again as stock tightens or eases through the rest of the year. A price list printed in January can be meaningfully out of date by March.

What actually moves the price

  1. Grade. Special (hand-selected) commands a premium over standard No. 1; Tukdi and Tar, being broken or thin-cut pieces rather than whole roots, typically cost less per kg than Gatta.
  2. Order volume. Full-truckload orders generally get better per-kg rates than 50 kg minimum orders.
  3. Packaging. Loose bulk costs less than standard 50 kg bags, which cost less than custom private-label pouches with your artwork.
  4. Season. Rates during and just after the January–April harvest typically differ from rates later in the year as mandi stock tightens.
  5. Milling (Powder only). Mesh size and whether you specify a particular root grade to be milled affects Powder pricing specifically.
